about

It was winter, at a time when weren’t supposed to go out much, so Joseph used the trees in his back garden as a score for the piano part. When we came to play it together with the words Quee had written, it fell into a steady rhythm but if you listen to the gaps between the verses, they are all a bit different, just like the gaps between the trees!
In the dead of winter, when we look at trees and plants without their leaves, there is little sign of life, yet we trust that when the spring comes, their life will return as the new leaves burst out of the buds.
