about

Norman’s Law is a hill in Fife, overlooking the Firth of Tay. The surrounding area is the inspiration for this tune. Quee took photos along a wandering route and explored areas around the hill. Patches of moorland and the twisted branches of old trees give way to piles of rocks from the Iron Age hill fort and views across the North of Fife. He made a short video sequence of the photos and Joseph wove a melody line on the accordion responding to the series of images.
When Quee, Joseph and Charlie got together to rehearse, the tune took on more of layered trance-like atmosphere, enhanced by guitar by Luke and drums by Mattie.
